A former Chairman of A.P. Minorities Commission, Director of Hyderabad Deccan Cigarette Factory and member of the Court of the Aligarh Muslim University, he was chosen as a member of the High Power Committee formed under the Ministry of Human Resource Development to recommend policy on Minority Education by the previous UPA Government.
Educational par excellence, who continuously strives for the empowerment of the community through need-based education. He is well versed with the various legal aspects of the educational rights of minorities guaranteed under the constitution of India and is always in the forefront to fight for the preservation of educational rights of the minorities. He was actively involved in fighting the case of minority educational rights in the Supreme Court which culminated in the historic landmark TMA Pai judgment of the Supreme Court of India.
He is the Honorary Secretary and Correspondent for all the institutions functioning under the aegis of Anwar-ul-Uloom Educational Association. He is also the Secretary of Madrasa-i-Aizza Educational Society which runs the Madrasa-i-Aizza, Neo School Aizza, Aizza College of Engineering and Technology and Nawab Shah Alam Khan College of Engineering and Technology. He is also the Secretary for Mumtaz Yaruddowla Wakf which administers schools, Degree College and an Engineering College. These institutions have witnessed tremendous growth which bears testimony to his untiring efforts to expand the horizons of education for the society in general and the minorities in particular.
